Our first day together was frought w adorable confusion. You see he is from UK & I am from Texas and English does weird things depending what side of the pond you are on.For example in Texas it is not very genteel to tell someone they are an idiot but you can say "Well bless your heart." It is effective and sounds polite to yankee ears but everyone in the south knows you have dispensed with a fool forthwith & without muss or fuss. The UK has its own idiosyncratic way w English even w Zod. During a traffic report Jason kept talking about EssembezedR, essembezedressembezedr. Itbseemed very important so i asked him to spell it for me so I could write it down and look it up. He was incredulous and repeated it again loud & slow. ESSSS EMMMM BEEEE ZEDDDD ARRRR. It turned out not to be a word at all but a ROAD Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed road. Jason like all residents abbreviate to S M B ZED R and that is how I learned Brits dont say Z. Not long after this incident Jason gave me another delightful lesson in the Queen's English.
